I am your old friend Haipo, the CEO of CoinEx. Time is fleeting. When I am writing this letter, CoinEx has been with you for countless days and nights.
Everyone carries a different purpose when they enter this industry. Some people are eager for money, and some are for the yearning for freedom. We intend to change the world and make it a better place, which is also our starting point, and the original intention of why I started the company.
In May 2017, we launched the exchange ViaBTC, and the team grew from a few to a dozen more. We are committed to creating a trading platform with the best user experience. Three months later, we delivered a satisfactory product to the market and won the support of many users. At the time when the ViaBTC exchange was forced to close, we fulfilled the commitment of 100% margin to shoulder the responsibility for taking care of each user’s assets. In the face of the sudden industry crisis, our team was still too young. Out of indignation, we released the source codes of the exchange, which inadvertently became the most popular open-source trading engine, driving the operation of many exchanges.
I still think it is very cool, or very interesting to do something no longer for money.
After the industry turmoil in 2017, our team has never given up on the cryptocurrency industry. In December 2017, we chose to sail the boat again and establish CoinEx, a new digital currency trading platform facing the global market. Two months later, we released the token of CoinEx — CET, and we airdropped a lot of CET for the early CoinEx customers. Then, we started “Trade-driven Mining” and with our incredible technical skills and product-developing capabilities, CoinEx and CET performed well and stood out during the trade-driven mining, and were further recognized by many users. But soon, the team encountered a bigger crisis again. In the most difficult moment, all I was thinking about was how to handle the withdrawals of our users as soon as possible, and how to protect my employees and safeguard the interests of CET investors. Fortunately, our team weathered the storm and once again grew much stronger.
Here, to those who have never lost faith in us and followed us all the way from ViaBTC to CoinEx today, all I can say is, thank you.
Over the past two years, CoinEx has been working to improve the user experience, ensure the security of the platform and enhance the products and features. Today, over 100 currencies and 15 languages are available on CoinEx, serving global users in nearly 100 countries and regions. Meanwhile, in order to meet the diversified needs of investors, we continue to diversify our platform’s products on the basis of crypto exchange, and launch other derivatives trading services such as, futures trading, margin trading, options trading, and perpetual contracts. In addition, we also provide to investors who prefer safe investment a financing product — CoinEx Lending. Today, CoinEx has become a trading platform most comprehensive in token support and product features. We will continue to improve our products and enrich tokens to increase trading liquidity.
Security is a huge challenge for an exchange. But for us, CoinEx never needs to worry about security issues. CoinEx is one of the few exchanges in this space that has never experienced security problems since its establishment two years ago.
